Q: Acura Integra?
I have a '95 Acura Integra LS non v-tec, I need some advice on cheap mods I can begin to put into the engine. I have alrady put cold air into it.

A: Best cheap mods are: Making sure car is up on maintenace; i.e. stock type NGK spark plugs and wires ($50), correct timing (slight advance may help a little on the high end)(autozone rents for free), clean fuel filter ($12). Of course timing belt and water pump, and all other non-power adding necessities. On to the mods: Since you already have an intake. (make sure it is a good, CLEAN filter) Highflow catalytic converter (175 installed). Or gutted / race cat (free, but off road use only) Next, high flow exhaust custom @ muffler shop 2.25 is plenty big for non-turbo cars. ($120-200), of bolt on cat-back ($350-600) Then, header, small primaries and large collecter variety. These tend to extract the most power ($75-500). This is a good start. You may consider other things like clutch (250-450) Gripforce.com has 'em for cheap and they are good! Underdrive / lightened pullies and flywheels too. Hope it helps, KC

Q: Why does the acura integra gsr vtec engine have an inner and outter valve spring for the intake?
Why does the acura integra gsr vtec engine have an inner and outter valve spring for the intake? Does this have something to do with the vtec component, i.e once a certain rpm is hit, it does somethign different with the intake valves?

A: A single spring looses coil tension over the life of the engine. Two springs share the stresses and prolong the action of the springs' performance. And yes, they help to prevent "valve floating" at high RPMs.

Q: How to reset the 'check engine' light on a 1998 Acura Integra?
My father wants to reset the 'check engine' light on my 1998 Acura Integra, but can not find out how to do so. He has tried doing so with the information provided by wiki answers, but has not been able to follow the directions easily. Any help? Thanks in advance.

A: This requires a scan tool or diagnostic system that connects to the ALDL or diagnostic port. If you have not repaired anything, the light will be back in a matter of miles. It needs to go to a proffessional and have a diagnostic performed.

Q: What is the going price for a full distributor for a 1995 acura integra?
I have parts from an acura integra for sale... from an integra engine with everything in fairly good condition. How much would a new distributor cost and how much should I sell mine for?

A: what ??? parts go for different prices all over the US...we don't know where you are, what the prices are where you are or the shortage of parts where you are... Try selling your parts on your own, where you are...if you don't know what the market is like where you are, then learn,

Q: What type of coolant should I use for 1994 Acura Integra?
Hi everyone, I have a 1994 Acura Integra. Beside the recommended Honda coolant, what other type of market brand coolants can I use? I look at the coolant reservoir, it looks like a green coolant. And the coolant in the reservoir is way down. DO I need to refill? Thanks for helping

A: The easy thing to do is to go to your local auto part store, auto zone ,checker, advance auto, etc. They will have what you need. Just ask them. You should only add coolant to a cool system when the fluid level is below the marks on the side of the reservoir.

Q: Quickest and cheapest way to increase performance of 93 Acura Integra?
What would be the easiest and cheapest way to increase the performance of a 93 acura integra? Should i just get cold-air intake and an aftermarket exhaust or what?

A: Go for the bolt-ons: intake, exhaust, headers. They're not necessarily cheap, but the cheapest. And I think it's better and cleaner than going for turbo/supercharge, it won't wear out your engine and thus hurt your resale value. But if you do want to make a BEAST out of your car... well that is the way to go.

Q: What else can I put on my 1996 Acura Integra to make it faster?
I have a 1996 Acura Integra LS (manual transmission) with a Skunk2 intake manifold, DC headers, AEM cold air intake, exhaust system, short shifter, and Skunk2 lowering spring. I was wondering what else I could install in the Integra to make it faster or give it more horsepower? My price range in under $500. Any advice?

A: there's a chip that u can buy on ebay that will give u 30+ hp. I have a manual 2000 civic special edition hatchback i installed it and it has more speed at take off. what it does is it tells ur cars computer that u have a higher output engine so it pushes more (and takes more gas) ur car is heavier so i don't know if it will work as good.

Q: What kind of oil does a 1995 Acura Integra use?
I'm looking to change the oil on 1995 Acura Integra. I do not have a owner's manual so i'm not sure what kind to use. Might you know?

A: Not 2 stroke or crude oil!!!

Q: Can my 2003 mitsubishi eclipse GTS smoke an acura integra GSR?
Theres this guy who talks alot saying I cant keep up with his car? He has an acura integra gsr with an intake, exhaust, and some plugs and my eclipse GTS is stock!!!! Can I smoke him? All those parts he has just makes his car loud!! What perfomance parts should I put on my car that would make it faster not just loud?

A: I beleive the new GTS has the V6 so it has plenty of power for that light car.. The GSR is built for being tuned and fast.. GTS has what 210 hp and has a top speed of like 130 and a 1/4 mile of lets say 15-16 seconds.. the GSR if the gsr has a turbo is going to get that extra boost of energy your car wont. I would say it should pull a head

Q: Is possible to use and ignition off a honda civic for a 90-93 Acura Integra?
I'm looking for a 90-93 acura integra ignition for cheap but can't seem to find one for cheap not even on ebay. So i ask, is possible to use and ignition off a honda civic? What years would i be able to use? Any other useful tips?

A: its possible, the 90-93 integra is very similar to the EF style civic, i have parts, such as my short shifter, that fit onto an integra, EF style civic, and a CRX, ive heard of people putting integra Dash boards in civics and vice versa, im sure though for the most part it should be a direct bolt in repair, buy one from a junk yard for like 20 bucks and see if it works so your not wasting big money on a brand new one
